Well, I'm a long tall Texan. I wear a 10-gallon hat (she comes from Texas wearin a 10-gallon hat...). Also: I knit and I really like words. And food. And my people. And New York. And you, probably. :)

Funny….in my mind, it’s Kay My. I’m certain that there are lots of things I mispronounce in my head as I read. But who cares?! There aren’t pronunciation judges in there….screw those guys.
I’m enjoying all these posts! Love you!
me too katie – lots of things is pronounce however i want, in my head. it’s just that pesky moment of saying it to someone else, you always have to preface it with “i have no idea how to say this, do you?” the socks are named after one of the designer’s friends, so it is actually someone’s name.
Ooh, that is one of my very favorite patterns from Cookie’s book! I already have the yarn I’m going to use for it picked out, even. I love the way yours turned out
oh! i can’t wait to see yours, jocelyn! this is one of my clear faves from the book too.
looking good! question: the first picture looks like the right foot, and the third picture looks like the left foot – so … which one is it?
good eye! i’d mislabeled the photo! it’s the outside of the [right] foot, not the inside. such fun socks to knit! and they weren’t hard to do standing in the subway, but i did have a little trouble with the lace because i was not reading carefully enough. once i stopped and read carefully, thought it through, and followed instructions, it was such fun, and easy.
