Isn’t it funny that we have to use a euphemism for that word, that p-oh-r-n word? But it’s all I could think of when I looked at the photos I just took of my new yarn, scored from a raveler who wanted to divest herself of a bit of madelinetosh’s elusive tosh merino light. The colorway is porcelain, and it’s just the most subtle, pale pink. It shades to tan, here and there, but the palest tan. Here, take a look:

tosh merino light, in porcelain. Actually, I have 6 skeins...

and now for the closeup
I’ll have today’s Creativity Boot Camp post later this evening…..

Very purty….

you should see it in person – it kind of glows from the inside.
I have never used that yarn! I hear it is fabulous…

it really is fabulous, but be careful: once you get your first skein it’s like crack — especially if you start with this tosh merino light. you can start with one of the other bases, sock, or DK, and it’s not quite as dangerous. people stalk her etsy page, and the trades are fast and furious in the forum. it’s kind of funny, really.
Oh my, I’d die for some Madelinetosh. Well, maybe not die dead but like, just die.

this comment made me laugh.
Ooh…. Pretty yaaarrrnnn….
Also, having read your last post, I have to admit that having lived in Berkeley for ten years, it took ages and ages before my first assumption upon seeing someone talking to themselves went from “oh, crazy person”, to “oh, bluetooth person”. The city trains some odd reflexes sometimes…
indeed – we have nearly as many bluetooth persons as crazy persons, so my reflexes are always “wait….what the hell….??????” now and then they make it easy, like the west side story dude.
i hope you had a great trip!
So beautiful! I look forward to seeing what you make of it.
Gorgeous. Colinette here in the UK do a similar colour called Oyster Blush.
I really enjoyed your Picnic post. You live in an amazing city!
