I know - how many times is she going to write about those socks?! For heaven’s sake. Believe me, I understand. I think I’m just so fascinated by the pattern and this yarn. Plus, of course, I had to start over on the sock after getting through the heel flap so I’ve kind of been at this for a while. Turns out I didn’t get one sock out of one skein; I got to the toe decreases and ran flat out. But luckily I had a brown yarn in my stash that was a perfect blend. Lookie!

The socks look great! And I especially like how they get their own slide show
On her own blog, Andrea just wrote a post titled..Short and Sweet
thanks, Andrea! That’s really kind of you.
I do feel kind of silly about it but whatev.
Lori – beautiful sock – I am amazed that you ran out of yarn – we’re using the same yarn, same amount, same size needles (and I even added an extra half a repeat in the cuff part); but of course, different knitters, and different feet ;^)
thank the deities that you had some matching toe yarn – I’m sure you’ll have enough for that second toe –
Well, guess I’d better get crackin’ on my second sock – I’ve gotten sidetracked by various other projects …
the pairs will definitely be a welcome addition for both of us once the cold weather comes back upon us, which cannot be too soon for me!
And you know what? I didn’t even do all the repeats, because I was sure I wouldn’t have enough. Also, I have giant feet.
Size 9 to 9.5. That’s probably the explanation; I remember you were cutting it kind of close.
And yes amen sister to cooler weather’s return. I’d thrill to a cold front about now. At least it’s not as awful as it was last weekend, even though that doesn’t really help all that much. Happy knitting Margaret!
Those are great pictures! I particularly like the rolled up shot. I must say I still get a thrill out of seeing people knit something from one of my patterns. And those colors are gorgeous!
On her own blog, Anne Campbell just wrote a post titled..Knitting Monogamy – What’s That
thanks, anne! i can’t even imagine what it would be like, seeing how others make a pattern that you imagined. kate davies, on needled, showed a bunch of versions of her paper dolls sweater and it was incredible, seeing the variety. thank you for making such a fun pattern to knit!
