    Gorgeous! I was just thinking the same thing yesterday. Finished Dan’s first sock of the pair and had him try it on and I just sat there and looked at it and just sometimes can’t believe that I made it with my two little hands….and you are right….it’s just two stitches! :)

    All those reasons! You’re right, that’s why we knit, isn’t it? And heel turns, in particular, just encompass all of that for me — magic and utility, in one seemingly-quotidian object.

    Hi Lori! I learned to knit about 2 years ago and I am just now past the stage of knitting scarves. I started a shrug for my mom and I keep thinking the same things—one long piece of yarn, two stitches, two sticks and my hands!
