i have been my own worst enemy on this project, and we nearly came to blows. read what a little perseverence’ll do for ya.
it really sucks to frog, but there’s a delicious feeling of self-righteousness when you do.
will i have enough? that’s all too often my question. why oh why don’t i just go ahead and spring for the extra ball. (that’s what SHE said.)

sweater #2 finished!!! Fait accompli!!!
I’m finishing the Mondo Cable Cardigan. When I left it, the body was finished and I was 3/4 finished with one sleeve. Since yesterday, I finished that sleeve and started and finished the other. (I know!!) The collar will take me a bit of time, but it’s only 128 rows of 26 stitches, so I should finish it today, easily. Then I’ll soak and block it and run out for buttons and giant snaps.

Well, I did it. I unbound-off the too-long Peasy sleeve, frogged enough rows, and knitted/bound off once again. The sleeve is now the perfect length – it matches the other one, and it matches my arm length. I like that in a sweater.
What an accidentally perfect choice I made for my first sweater; the yarn – Rowan Felted Tweed – is very sticky so it hides errors and looks fantastic when it’s blocked, and since it’s so sticky, it’s easy to frog with abandon, without worrying that it’ll all come undone.

OH Y’ALL. I am so so so so SO SO SO SO SO SO excited – I just bought 5 skeins of tosh merino DK in byzantine, to make the Eve’s Ribs shrug. I’m pacing around with ants in the pants, waiting for the yarn to arrive. Since I bought it 5 seconds ago, I’d better find some way to wait or I’ll keel over. Pictures:
